Orange Blossom Tiaras

About Our Headpieces

We only use the finest materials to make our combs, tiaras, bunwraps, and wreaths.

Fine Rhodium Plating

Rhodium is a precious metal of the Platinum group with properties of wear and corrosion resistance that make it ideally suitable as a final finish for all types of jewelry. To achieve our lustruous rhodium-plated look: first the brass stampings are dipped in acid to remove any residue, then rinsed in distilled water and dried. Next, a nickel coating goes on to provide a chemical "glue" for the final rhodium, making the rhodium bond firmly.

The final product is a rich silver-colored finish that does not tarnish, and can be matte or shiny. Rhodium is used for fine costume jewelry, making it an excellent substitute for costly platinum. Rhodium plated jewelry keeps its good looks for years!

Swarovski Crystals

Since the company's inception in 1895, the Bohemian Swarovski family has been associated with the finest crystal in the world. The world famous company, located in Wattens, Austria, is the maker of most of the crystals and rhinestones we use in our headpieces. Fired from a combination of natural minerals and quartz sand, each piece is cooled slowly to avoid stress and inclusions - thus, producing the clearest crystals.

Swarovski stones are the most brilliant and colorful, plus they offer a unique stone: the Aurora Borealis crystal. This crystal coated with wafer-thin particles of metal is the most light-reflecting and sparkling of all crystals, and we are proud to use these in our headpieces as well.

Metal Stamping

A centuries-old artform now performed by high-precision computers, metal stamping creates some of the unique looks on our rhodium-plated headpieces. Due to labor costs and environmental stipulations because of chemicals used, companies still performing stamping in this country are considered a rare find. The metal stamping factories running today are unique in that they have kept the original die designs used in the 19th and 20th centuries, giving us real "vintage" designs to draw upon for our headpieces. Every scroll, leaf, or flower detail created by metal stamping can add authenticity to a tiara or headband.
